A person whose actions, thoughts, and emotions are automated by external systems, cultural programming, and unexamined impulses.
An NPC is a metaphorical concept for an individual who has surrendered their agency to the surrounding environment. Their decisions are not deliberate; they are reactions.
Key signs of NPC behavior:
- Automated Reaction: Responding to marketing, social pressure, and tribal cues without logic-auditing the intent.
- Flawed Idea of Self: Believing they are the “main character” while being a puppet to systemic conditioning.
- Mental Prisons: Operating from inherited thought patterns (ideologies) that they did not choose and cannot see.
To break the NPC state, one must engage in purification (tazkiyah) and reclaim their agency through the ontological reframe—moving from “doing” to “being” and finally to acting as a steward (khalifah) of reality.
