The global, planetary, or ecosystemic scale of reality.
In the multi-level perspective (MLP), the Mundo level is the highest scale of observation. It includes the entire biosphere, the global climate, and the civilisational “landscape.”
Key characteristics of the Mundo level:
- Planetary Stewardship: Human responsibility as stewards of the entire ecosystem (khalifah).
- Eschatological Crisis: Large-scale systemic pressures (climate change, resource overshoot) that rupture lower-level systems.
- Divine Law: The ultimate level of alignment where human systems must integrate with the cosmic and natural order.
Transformation at the Mundo level is not achieved directly, but through the convergence of Micro-level spiritual awakenings and Macro-level community innovations.
